# 20 WAYS TO USE YOUR OLD CDs

As a computer user or a music fan, you are sure to have plenty of those old CDs you store for no reason. Thus, you will be happy to know there are more than 20 ways to recycle them into something really cool:

1. CD Wallpaper

Due to shiny surface, compact discs can make cool water-proof wallpaper:

2. CD Beer-Bottle-Spill-Preventer

This one is rally easy to make: it’s just a CD jammed over the top of a beer bottle to prevent beer from spilling if the bottle falls:

3. CD Lamp

The lampshade consists of 6 CDs placed at 90-degree angle. Mind the caution note following the instrution: Keep in your mind that the lamp can melt CDs from the heat generated by lamp.

17. CD Car Decor

They say that some folks believe that placing a CD on the rear or front of your car will confuse the police radar in getting a good read of your speed. Not sure, if that’s the idea of this hack but it does look good:

18. CD Dumbbell

150 CDs, about 75 on each side, on a threaded rod from the hardware store and then (8) bolts to hold it all together. No tools needed. Just thread it all and bolt it tight.

19. CD Photo Frame:

Cut photo into a 3″ circle. Attach it to CD with double face tape. Cover the back of the CD with sticky back felt. Use tacky glue to secure it into a slot in base. And you are done!
